QUESTION: I know that normal air is aprox. 77% Nitrogen. I have heard if you run pure Nitrogen instead of the 77% Air there are many Benefits. But I am not sure if you are saying they are doing this running pure Nitrogen. So here are the questions.

#1) Is running pure nitrogen legal in NASCAR?

#2) If so, Which teams are using pure Nitrogen?

Thanks

Answer
Hi again,

Sorry it took so long.  No, running pure nitrogen is not legal in NASCAR, but there would be several benefits to it.  But Nitrogen is used in Airplane tires that handle high friction.  NASCAR might be benefitted in some way, but it would not recieve the amount of benefit that the airplane gets.
Hope I helped
