How many tires are used during a race on average.

Answer
This varies depending on amount of cautions but most teams will have between 8 and 10 sets (4) mounted for every race. At tracks where they expect to have many cautions (re: Bristol, Richmond, Martinsville, etc) they may have 12-14 sets.
