NASCAR Racing: safety rules for nascar, car preparation, tank size

Is there current information about what the rules are for the drivers (what the wear) or even what needs to be on the car about safety(style of car)? And what kind of check off list do the teams go through before they can enter a race on sunday? Are there any books that I could get?

Sorry but the rule book is only given to members of NASCAR, it is not released to the general public. Each team has it's own checklist that they go over for car preparation and then the cars have to go through NASCAR's inspection before qualifying and before the race. These inspections include body size and shape, certain parts of the engine, suspension, weight, gas tank size and many, many more things too numerous for me to list here. I know of no book that gives a list of everything checked. Sorry.
