NASCAR Racing: Nascar and IRL, indy racing league, car count

Question
Nascar is such a successful series, but the Indy Racing League isn't doing so well. IRL will fail as a series if it doesn't get more sponsorship. Even IRL president Tony George has resorted to creating his own team to help save the series. What measures must be taken to make IRL a marketable franchise like NASCAR?

Answer
Well, for starters they need to attract some more American drivers to the series. Nascar is an all-american series. They also need to race on more high banked ovals such as Texas. Nascar has a season that is long enough to where there is a race every week so the hype carries over from week to week. The IRL has a race every few weeks. But what it all boils down to is the IRL dosen't have the car count that Nascar has. I believe the only way they could survive is to merge with champ car. They could also use some corporate thinking from some new executives. Nascar really took off when they hired Brian France, and I think that is what IRL needs to. Hey I love IRL racing, the really put on a show on the mile and a half tracks, but Nascar can put on a show anywhere.
