BMW Repair: Bmw e30 oil pan swap / replace, bmw 325is, bmw e30

Question
Will the oil pan from a BMW 528e with the m20 engine fit on a BMW 325is with an m20 engine? I would really like to eliminate the aluminum oil pan.

Will it fit?Yes the pan with oil pump,it will bolt to the block.Now will it work?Depending on where the oil pump lies in the pan.An IS has rack/pinion steering,the 5 does not.So with that one needs to look at the pans and how the steering maybe affected.
