BMW Repair: alarm system for 2002 540i, alarm system, fuses

Question
the alarm system on my car will not work....I can lock the car with the key in the door.....but not from the key itself...so I believe that the central locking system is working...all of the fuses seems to be fine for the alarm and lock system and the trunk will open from the key...can you help please

To start off with,try your other key and or change the batteries within 1 minute of removing them.

If that doesn't work we will try a reset procedure, you are correct that the central locking is fine , just communication from the key, let me know.
