BMW Repair: 1987 325 E BMW, cold cranking amps, battery indicator

Question
Every week or two my 1987 324E BMW needs a jump start.  I took it to a shop and told me that it was a light in the glove compartment that just stayed on, so they disconnected it. They said the alternator and battery are working properly.   I still have the same problem. What else can it be?

Answer
I know this sounds like a dumb response but how is the battery? Is it more than 5 years old.Does it have the proper cold cranking amps? They may have checked the battery while the system was running so the charging and battery may seem alright but did the battery get a load test done as well?Another thought, when you turn the key on,with out it starting does the battery indicator light up?Then go out after it has started? It seems odd but if the battery light does not come an the battery will not charge properly.
