BMW Repair: Instrument problem E30, engine 88, lithium battery

The gas meter and the teperature meter wont work in cold weather until I've driven about 10 km. In warm weather they work from the start. Now even the oil lamp is on constantly even if there is enough oil on the engine (88 000 km)

This sound tricky to diagnose without seeing the car, but on that car bmw used lifetime lithium battery inside the cluster, to sum it up those batterys dont last a lifetime and start causing the instrument cluster to act up. if you do some research on the internet you can find more info, i beleive they call it the mother board, it has those battery attached to it
