BMW Repair: 1998 Z3 radio reset codes, radio code, z3

Hello, I have just returned from Iraq and my battery on my beloved 1998 Z3 had gone dead and the radio now wants a code to be entered, any help would be appreciated. Does the radio need to be pulled or any other options. I have no manuals or literature.

it depends on the radio but usually you turn on the radio and allso push the m button on the radio and it will give you a serial # you need that # to get the radio code from the dealer. I have access to that info if you can get the serial #. another option is to remove the radio and it will have the serial # on the radio. allso the radio code is in the owners manual on a small card.  Thanks Nathan
