BMW Repair: 2003 325i Error message /Air conditioning issue, 2003 bmw 325i, bmw 325i

Hi,

I have a 2003 BMW 325i. Frequently, when starting the car the car will beep and the computer display will read "+122F and then -40F". At the same time the air conditioning will not blow any cold air. This beeping and flashing and no air condition lasts 10 -15 minutes and then completely normalizes.  Sometimes I can turn off the car and the restart it and it will fix itself.  I have no idea what is causing this issue. I have had my air conditioner looked at, but no problem was detected because as usual the symptoms were not there when I was at the mechanic.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

the wires to the outside temp sensor are frayed and sometimes open circuit(-40) and short circuit (122). Look under neath at the corner splash panels and see if they are damaged. the sensor may be missing altogether so also look to 2 wires going no where.
