BMW Repair: 1999 323 climate control, climate control unit, 1999 bmw 323

I recently replaced the climate control unit on my 1999 BMW 323 at a cost of about $350.00. The problem that I am having is that you can't set the inside temperature. It just displays a N/C. You can set the fan from high to low and turn on the a/c but, nothing else. Can you help me?

the n/c seems weird but it may need to be coded(at the dealer). usually you have the problem of it displaying in celsius. try unplugging the power to the unit and then refitting. that may reset it. the new unit may also be defective.
