BMW Repair: Locked out of own car, bmw 530d, master key

Hi,

My bmw 530d has been unused on my driveway for four months. Now the battery seems to be flat and I cannot get into the car with the remote or by using the key. Can you help please?

I am not sure how it will work for a 530d.  You didn't say the year model.  This is what the factory says.  I know I did it once with my daughter's 525I 1990, and I think this is what I did as well.  Hope it helps.


1. Insert the master key into the front right door.
2. Pull up the door handle.
3. Turn the key counterclockwise to emergency unlock position 1.
4. Open the door.
5. Close doors and turn the right front door lock to the synchronize position 5.
