BMW Repair: cant blow horn of BMW 316i sedan 1995 model, bmw 316i, tank lid

Question
Hi. I'm almost afraid to ask this question since it means admitting it's pretty stupid. We just acquired a BMW 316i sedan 1995 model and can't seem to find the lever to pop the hood. The car runs smoothly but we still have to find certain controls. Another thing we're trying to find is the lever to open the trunk and the gas tank lid from the inside. Help! My Dad suspects we just need to change the fuse to get the horn to work again. Hope my message makes sense

Answer
Almond, the trunk release should be on the left drivers kick panel. Check you horn fuse. If it is good check for voltage at the horn connectors (two wire connector). BMW's usually have two horns, a high and a low pitched horn. If you have good voltage when activating the horn and it still doesn't work then replace the horn. You may have an issue with the contacts of the horn in the steering wheel and slip ring coil.
