BMW Repair: brake lt circuit, brake light switch, glass portions

I understand that you are familiar with 1999 and newer models, but i thought of taking the chance to ask anyhow. Today a announcement came on my dashboard saying "Brake Lt Circuit" and I like to fix it myself if possible before my car begins to fall apart

What year and model do you have? If it is an older car check all the brake lights, parking, reverse lights for proper operation. Check the contacts on the bulbs and the glass portions for darkened tint. If all checks out then replace the brake light switch under the brake pedal.
