Answer
Rafael, DSC light will flash when the dynamic stability control system is intervening. Anti lock brake stopping. Wheel spinning (loss of traction). Read up on your owners manual. Find a vacant open road and drive up to 50mph safely and lawfully and slam the brake pedal as hard as you can and hold it there. You will feel the ABS/DSC pulses through the pedal. Next find a wet gutter or stretch of pavement with no traffic and turn the steering wheel all the way to one direction and hammer the gas pedal. When the tires break traction the DSC will close the throttle and or pulse the brakes to regain traction (again light flashes). These are normal operation. If the DSC light stays on under all driving conditions then the system has a fault and is not operating properly. Don't get confused with pushing the DSC button and taking DSC function off. (light will also stay on until you turn the system back on). If DSC is turned off the acceleration and transverse acceleration (sideways sliding) function will be turned off. ABS can't be turned off. Please do so at your own or others risk. This system is an active safety feature and other makes are just now using these systems.
