BMW Repair: 2001 330 CI Front Turn Signal Lamp, fender lip, bmw service

21W bulb burned out.  Manual references an access hole for scewdriver releas of hok on lamp assembly.  Drawing doesn't help me find the hole.
Any suggestions?

Kent, there are two styles. One has an access hole in the fender lip with a phillip screw. Release several turns and wiggle lamp assembly out. 2nd version doesn't have a phillips but has a plastic tab that you have to depress with a long skinny object to release the housing. A lot of times the BMW service writers will help you remove it for no charge or some times they will charge you two tenths of an hour. If the plastic tab gets brittle and breaks there is a repair kit for it. Check the bulb socket for burnt terminals and replace aswell as the bulb if necessary.
