BMW Repair: 1998 bmw 740 driver seat power controls, memory buttons, 1998 bmw 740

i have a 1998 740i and yesterday the seat and the steering wheel control just
stopped working. the passenger seat and the memory buttons have power but
the seat just doesnt move this was an intermittent problem until yesterday. after
a while it would work what can i do to solve this problem

Sean, most of the time I see the connector break off the seat module. The plastic seat rail covers on the side of the seat get older and loose and the electrical connector on the module snaps off under body weight. Remove the seat side cover and inspect the connector. Work from there. Sorry about the delay in response.
