BMW Repair: fluid leak and no power steering, fluid leak, warranty coverage

My 2006 330 ci is leaking a red fluid and has no power steering. The car was sitting without running for 3 weeks. Could this be transmission fluid? Is there a separate power steering fluid resevoir?

Scott, I believe the power steering fluid is green on your vehicle (called CHF 11S) It could be red ATF in the power steering but I haven't seen it in that model yet. I would take the car into the dealership as you have complete warranty coverage for 4 years/ 50,000 miles. Pick up a sample of the fluid in a clear container to show to your service advisor.
