BMW Repair: 1995 325i Trunk Problem, evan justin, gauge wire

Question
The lock for the glove box is the vertical position. I have tried it in the locked and unlocked positions and the trunk will still not open. Is it possible that the link between the lock and the latch is not connected? If so, is there any other way to get into the trunk?

-----Question-----
I know this vehicle is not listed in your expertise but any help is appreciated.

I am unable to open the trunk of my 1995 325i. It sounds like it
unlocks itself when I unlock from at the trunk or from the driver's door.
When I push in the button to open the trunk nothing happens. Any ideas?

Thank you

Justin, you don't have the trunk in the hotel setting do you? Check the glove box lock it should be verticle I believe.

Answer
Justin, you did push the central lock button (unlocked?) Look for the relay behind the glove compartment for the trunk. Pull the relay and jump the heavy gauge wire terminals. Also if you find the relay is the same color as another relay swap them and retry.
