BMW Repair: Brake Lining Warning Light, brake pads and rotors, rear caliper

Question
I have a 1994 BMW 525i and the brake warning lights went on.  According to the owners manual to check the brake pads.  I had the front and rear brake pads replaced, and the lights is still on.

Answer
Hello Adolfo,
Oftentimes mechanics replace brake pads and rotors without replacing the wornout sensors (left front caliper and right rear caliper). And when sensors are replaced, the key should be turned on for a minute without starting the engine until the check brake pads light goes out. Check them out first. You may also have to check the wirings and even the pins of the cable connectors.
