BMW Repair: fuel injectors, 1997 bmw 528i, bmw 528i

Question
I have a 1997 BMW 528i, and it looks like I need to replace one or a couple of injectors, as they're starting to be a little lazy (engine run goes from smooth to choppy sometimes). I have heard of people upgrading to some injectors used on Ford engines,would you know if such upgrade is possible for my car?

Hi Gabriel,
Diagnose the injectors first before jumping into the decision of replacing them. You may be replacing the wrong part.
Also, I have never ever considered that a part for Ford would be better for a BMW, or a BMW part being good for Ford.
Almost all if not all  car manufacturers do not make their parts (like fuel injectors). Instead they buy them from others
(like Bosch, Nippondenso, Diesel Kikki, etc.). So I guess somehow, somewhere, you can find something that would fit any car. But why bother?
