BMW Repair: 1995 316i fuse problems, fuse problems, bmw 316i

Question
Hi Tino, thanks for your time.  My 1995 BMW 316i is having a few problems with the fusebox. At the moment, if i leave fuse 37 in then the right hand side headlight and the rear light on the right side stay on regardless of whether the lights are switched on or not.  Hence i have had to remove the fuse to avoid battery problems.  In the last couple of weeks, i have also had trouble with the fuses for the central locking blowing?  No modifications have been made to the car to prompt this.  any idea's would be most appreciated.

Thank you.

Answer
Hello Sanjit,
It looks like you light switch is bad. To replace remove the driver's side lower dashboard cover, pull out the light switch knob, removed nut holding switch in front, pull out switch from back and replace.
The general module concerned with central locking is also concerned with windows , sidemirrors, and some other body functions (in addition to coordinating with the light switch).
So if even after replacing the light switch your fuses still blow for the central locking, then you have a separate problem. Tell me the fuse numbers that blow and I would give additional pointers on which to check if this happens.
Regards,
Tino
