BMW Repair: 99 BMW 528I, bmw 528i, newer cars

Hey,Tino. My check engine and ABS lights came on and the car felt like it was in drive 3 or the brakes were locked up. Car would hardly pull off. What could cause that? Car sat for 30 minutes and then ran fine. Would appreciate any help you could give me. Some say brakes,some say transmission. Thanks,Randy

Please provide more info. When and how did it happen?
Was the car running normally and then suddenly gave you this problem or was it after a cold start? Did you get any check control message on the dash like limp home mode? Also,it would be best if you have it scanned for engine(DME), ABS/ASC, and
transmission (EGS) faults.
We could all make guesses, but that is all they are, guesses.
BMW and most newer cars are so complex nowadays with all their computer modules that they do not lend themselves to
off the cuff diagnosis.
