BMW Repair: 328i 1996 coolant bleed screw, coolant water, radiator cap

Question
I'm having aweful trouble re filling the coolant on a 328i, have an aweful air block, not getting hot air in side the car and when I get the coolant temp to above the half way line the lower (cold) hose off the radiator gets very hard, a lot of pressure. Please tell me where the upper bleed screw is (photo if possible) for a 328i 1996 car is.I've had the car up on stands while I try to fill it, but the car will only take 5 liters of 50/50 coolant/water when I drain it, but I know it should take 10.5 liters.. very annoying, if you can help in ay way I will appreciate it...
Thanks
Tom

Answer
Tom, coolant bleeder screw should be on the expansion tank. Turn the a/c controls to max hot with minimum fan speed. With the bleeder screw removed fill the system. squeeze the upper and lower hoses to try to remove the air in those hoses. Start the engine and run untill all bubbles stop from the bleeder opening. Close screw and radiator cap. Make sure the O-rings haven't flattend out. Run the motor until the lower hose is pressurized and hot. Either drive the car for a while or run at 2500 RPM until the mechanical fan clutch engages and you feel a torent of air from the engine compartment. Wait until the car is room temp (overnite usually). Refill coolant. Your car will not take 10.5 liters this is only if the block and head is bone dry and Heater core is dry aswell.
Please fill out a follow up survey if this helps.
