BMW Repair: 530i died after left key for 2 days, clicking but wont start, jumper cables, 12 volt battery

Question
I forgot to take the key out for 2 days, now the battery seemed died and I couldn't start the car. It's a 2002 530i, everything seems normal last time I drove it home. When trying to jump, it only made clicking sound, seem not enough power to turn the engine.

Another thing made me worry was that the gear stuck at park position. Does that mean something locks up the car? When I turned key (making the "clicking" sound). Panel lights up (EML lights up too), but the gear can't be moved, locks up at P position.

I have Lojack on the car. But when I called them they said Lojack wouldn't do anything like that.

I recharged the battery for about 3 minutes before trying to jump. Should I recharge for longer? What worries me is the gear locked up. How can I get the car tolled out of my garage if the wheel can't move?

Thanks in advance.

Answer
Mason, put a set of jumper cables attached to a running car or good 12 volt battery. Turn the key to the second position forward, put your foot on the brake pedal, wiggle the steering wheel so it unlocks and you should be able to move the gear selector to neutral for the tow truck. Please replace the battery. If you are going to charge the battery charge for two hours.
