BMW Repair: 740iL non-op for 5 years, great shape, type of girl

Question
I have a 1993 740iL that has sat in my driveway for about 5 years.  I would like to get it up and running, but would like to make sure that I don't make mistakes.  Can you give me info on how to bring the old girl back to life?  What do I need to watch out for.  Prior to the time it sat in the driveway, all maintenance had been performed ontime, if not earlier.  I am a do-it-yourself type of girl and would appreciate any info.

Answer
Being a BMW it really doesn't take much at all to get them up and running. You first want to check all the fluids to make sure they are up to the proper levels and clean(oil). The  belts and hoses should be looked at for cracks or swelling.
The battery needs to be in great shape, the cables clean, especially the ground(do not want a green cable)This will get it running once done I would invest in filters, oil change, probable tune up being plugs wires ,etc.
Now why was it sitting for 5 years?A question that should be asked as there may problems that were happening at the time.
