BMW Repair: speedo asc and fuel computer not working, e39 528i, bmw e39

I have a BMW E39 528i se 99' the problem i have is that the ASC light has come on (no traction) the speedo has stopped working and the fuel economy guage have all given up. strangely when i start the engine after about 5-10 secs the light comes on and the other guages quit as well,could the module(silver 1 on left with 6 pipes going in)in engine bay have given up the ghost or is there another more hidden problem. I am also getting a suspect reading from the fuel guage as well...

 The ABS control head under the hood wont cause all your problems.  I would have to check the speed senser input first which can only be done with the right computer scanner.  There is a seperate computer built into the intrament cluster which can go bellyup and would need to be checked with, you guessed it, a scanner.Time to find a good mechanic.
