BMW Repair: re-installing radio codes, 1987 bmw 325, bmw dealer

I bought a 1987 BMW 325. The radio is asking for the codes. I removed the radio and found two codes 7362 and 8387. I was told that using the radio presets to enter the codes. But if the numbers are higher than five, how do you enter the codes. The radio only has five preset stations. Also if you do this more that two times, then you will need to leave the ignition on for one hour before you can enter the codes again. Can you please give me some assistance on how this realy works. most likely these are not the correct codes. if you have the radio out, take it to a bmw dealer, and they can get the code. if you try to enter the wrong code 3 times, it will lock you out and you have to leave the key in the on position for 1 hour to reset it.
