BMW Repair: side dome lite, bmw 528i, 1999 bmw 528i

1999 bmw 528i.  rear right passenger side dome light stopped coming on. the one with the switch on it works fine but the one that comes on when the door opens doesnt. this is the one that dims up and down. isnt it on the same cicuit as the others that work fine?  bulb good. what seems to be the problem?

The circuit for the doors opening is from a computer, and the switch is hot wired to the bulb, so most likely somewhere between the computer and the light the wire has been severed or unattached from the computer or the back of the light, remove the light and see if you get a 12v power source from the wires leading to the bulb holder, see if you can distinguish which is for the doors opening and for the switch, if you have voltage there then the problem is in the light fixture, if not it's in the wires
