BMW Repair: DRIVER SIDE WINDOWS, lithium grease, roling

DEAR EXPERT : I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST USED BMW 1995 740 I WITH 69K MILES. AND LOOKS AND DRIVE LIKE DAY ONE ....AFTER 2 WEEKS THE DRVIER SIDE WINDOW STOP ROLING UP AND DOWN AND I JUST ASKED THE MECHANIC HOW MUCH WOULD COST AND HE GAVIE ME $300-$500 ESTAMET. IS THIER ANY THINK THAT I CAN DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

ok, in all bmws the windows go up very slow, but in my car the windows would go up slow or stop and the after a while would go up slow, so to fix this problem u will want to remove the door panel and the plastic sheet(keep that sheet it protects against water), next u will want a can of Lithium Grease and u will want to spray the can into the back of where the window goes up and down on(its a rod with a slit in the back) and u want to make sure the window is going up and down while u are sprayin it so it all greased up
