GMC Repair: heated driver seat not working, 2004 yukon xl, yukon xl

Question
2004 Yukon XL.  Heated driver seat shuts off after 10 seconds when both the seat cushion and seat back are selected.  When it shuts off, there is an audible clicking sound from under the seat.  The seat back by itself works just fine when selected.  A day or two prior to this problem, my wife complained the seat cushion got very, very hot, unlike anytime in the past.  Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hi
I would HIGHLY suspect the heated seat element burned out. It is fairly common. The seat has to be dis assembled, and the new element put in. The GM replacement part is a newly designed part, that is alittle differently made.
You MAY want to have it diagnosed properly, but personally I have seen it fairly often.
I Hope this helps.
