GMC Repair: Electric Problem with Headlamps, chevrolet suburban, body control module

Question
I have a 2005 K1500 Chevrolet Suburban in which the headlamps have been occasionally coming on after turning off ignition, removing key and leaving vehicle. Situation drains battery and has caused repeated need to jump start. Not sure if this will help but I just changed DIC settings for Headlamp Delay from 10 seconds (default) to OFF and Perimeter Lights from On (default) to OFF. Could this situation be caused by a bad Headlight switch or a bad Body Control Module? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi
Without actually seeing it, I would suspect the switch above the BCM. My only draw back from this would to be if you could unplug the switch, and see if it continues to do it.  (Plugging it back in at night). If so, it will probabally be the BCM.
The BCM MAY have codes stored also, so bringing it to a local shop you trust to check for BCM trouble codes MAY help also.
