GMC Repair: Alternator malfunction, regulator problem, wal mart

Question
I recently changed the intake gaskets and after reassembling it the alternator went bad.  I replaced it but the charge is too high or too low. What can it be if I've replaced most other things that could lead to this problem

Answer
sounds like a regulator problem. you need an electrical diagnostic. You can get a free one at any Wal-Mart. Go to the TLE (Tire Lube Express), and ask them for an electrical diagnostic. email me back with the results. Without having your car here and scanning the code and running a test myself, it is difficult to guess. marvin.saunders69@yahoo.com
