GMC Repair: no start, fuel pump relay, gmc sierra

Question
I have a 1998 gmc sierra 1500 v6 automatic. I recently tried to start it with a taller battery cause the original one was dead. The truck turned on and i went to check the clearance from the hood to the battery and the hood touched and the truck turned off. I checked all the fuses, the fuel pump relay seems to be sending power to the grey wire wich i believe is 30 on the relay.I dont know what else to do.

Answer
more than likely you fried your ignition and/or ECU. I would go to pull a part to check and see if your can do it that way.

You never want the positive to touch any part of the vehicle. Many sensitive electronics and components are grounded to the body of the vehicle.
