So was told i need iac,so put a new IAC,new egr,new map sensor, new servo, spark plugs cap,oil change, coolant sensor, air temp sensor and gas cleaner, and clean the throttle body,I started the car and it run real good for about 20 min. now i getting these codes E14 E22 E31 E52 E71 E74 and the sound like it did when the car first started acting up,The good thing is the car not over heating no more and the check vehicle light not coming on.I have not change the gas filter i will, Can you tell me what may be wrong and what to look for?

Answer
I found the following explanations for the codes you listed:

E14--Shorted Coolant Sensor

E22--Open Throttle Position Sensor

E31--Shorted MAP Sensor Signal

E52--PCM/ECM Memory Reset

E71--Intermittent MAP

E74--Intermittent MAT Sensor Signal

I would disconnect the negative battery cable. This will zero out the codes. At this point I would rescan for codes. Unfortunately, the caddy's produce in the 1990z have electrical problems. I ran across this at one shop I worked at. We did Cadillac almost exclusively. After you get the codes rescanned, email me: marvin.saunders69@yahoo.com
