GMC Repair: poor acceleration, no power, mechanic work, head gaskets

Question
QUESTION: 97 Yukon - 88K miles has poor acceleration above 20 MPH, no power. Just replaced fuel filter, Had fuel pressure checked and it is 62 PSI. Had MAF sensor and injectors replaced a few months ago. Please help.

ANSWER: Does the motor knock, pop, or any other collection of sounds. I would do the head gaskets. Sounds like it could be. Could be the cam getting weak and worn. do you do your own mechanic work?

QUESTION: Only noise is a not too loud rattling sound, like an exhaust leak. Also the emissions were rechecked and it burns very clean.  Does that eliminate the catalytic converter as a possible problem? As far as work, nothing major. I can only do filters, plugs, fluids, belts, all of which are clean or in good shape. Thanks

Answer
put your hand over exhaust, and compare to similar make. If exhaust flow is reduced you could have a converter problem. It does not eliminate it completely. Similar situation happened to my wife on her way home from school. do you have distributor or coil packs?
