GMC Repair: 1999 GMC Sonoma cranks but wont start, gmc sonoma, engine cranks

Question
My 1999 GMC sonoma decided to quit on me yesterday.  I drove it to the store and then home, and it was fine.  I then tried to go somewhere else and it wouldn't turn over.  The engine cranks, the interior lights & radio come on, but it won't turn over.  I took the battery to a parts store and they tested it, the condition of the battery is good.  Tried hitting the solenoid to see if it would start the truck but nothing, and you can hear it turning when you crank the engine. The alternator seems to be fine as well as the starter.  A friend checked to see if there was ignition spark, and there was none.  He sprayed some wd-40 in there and it almost turned over but didn't.  He thinks it's a computer problem, but could it be the fuel pump or spark plugs/distributor cap?  Could needing a tune up cause the engine to not turn over?  Thanks very much and have a nice day.

Answer
Is there no spark from the wires, or the spark plugs? You have an ignition problem. I will walk you through this, but we need to take it a step at a time. We will start from the engine and work our way back. First things first. You need to pull on plug at a time and have someone crank it and watch for spark. Also, when you crank it? Is it fast than usually or about the same? Could be more than one thing. But you definitely have an ignition problem.
