GMC Repair: 95 Jimmy wont start, long periods of time, many different things

My husband just bought a 1995 Jimmy that has sat for about 5yrs. We replaced to battery but it still wont turn over? Do you know what else we should check to get it running?

Does it click? Check for power to the Starter. Check for power to the solonoid. Check all fuses and fusible links. There is many different things it can be. The WORST thing for any vehicle is to sit up for long periods of time.
You'll need to replace fuel in tank. fuel filter. You MAY end up replacing the fuel injectors. I would replace the Distributor cap, rotor, wires and spark plugs.  Naturally change the oil and filter. Replace all the Transmission fluid (I would recommend a flush done at a repair shop).
