GMC Repair: 2000 GMC Jimmy camber problem, upper control arm, torsion bar

Question
My 2000 Gmc Jimmy SLT has a bad camber problem. What has caused this and what parts need to be replaced? Can I find the parts at a salvage yard and what year Jimmys will interchange?  When I took it in for an alignment, about a year ago, I was told it was not the alignment but something else (I've forgotten what the mech said# and it would cost about $1,500 to repair. The parts at the GM house were $400 each at the time. I can get axle/spindle, ball-joints, caliper, and all the associated parts with the axle#minus the torsion bar, etc.) for $80 each off a 2004 Jimmy, rather than the $400 each at the parts house. Will I be getting the part I NEED if I replace the entire "axle" piece and will this fix my problem? I ask in this manner because I am not money-flush. Thank you for any help you can offer

Answer
well first and foremost if someone is trying to sell you parts for a 2004 jimmy they are in fact ripping you off.  They stopped building the jimmy in 2001.  They could be parts off a blazer which would work.  On a 2000 jimmy the camber is controled by the upper control arm.  If you cannot obtain the appropriate amount of camber adjustment by shifting the control at the bolts then something is either bent or worn out.  You might need new upper control arms
