GMC Repair: engine stall, gmc safari, work component

Question
Hi First of all awesome site ...thanks for answering so many questions..i do appreciate it.
I own a 99 gmc safari that stalls from time to time when i let off the gas or come to a stop. It is intermittent and I'm leaning to the idle control valve. I have just changed the distributor and rotor and put a new set of plugs and wires on recently. It runs great except when it acts up and stalls. If you think its also the idle control valve , where can i find it (do i have to remove the dog house) and can it be cleaned?
Thanks and keep up the good work.
