GMC Repair: How Do I Remove Door Panel, rear edge, yukon slt

Question
2004 Yukon SLT, 5.3 V8.  I need to replace the drivers side and the passenger side window switches.  How do I remove the door panels for each side?

Answer
Hi
PULL UP on the panel..UP not out but UP.....

Here is the procedure from GM SI, same for both sides.
Hope this helps.....FYI the switches are actually the Door Modules and SOME reprogramming MAY be necessary..

Remove the door handle bezel. Refer to Inside Door Handle Bezel Replacement .
Remove the door trim panel upper extension. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Extension .
Using a suitable flat-bladed tool, gently pry the manual lock lever from the door trim panel.
Remove the push in fastener  at the front edge of the door trim.
Remove the cap  covering the screw on the rear edge of the trim panel.
Remove the trim panel screws.
•  Remove the screw  from within the opening where the manual door lock lever resides.

•  Remove the screw  from the opening in front of the armrest.

•  Remove the screw from the rear edge of the trim panel.

•  Remove the screw located beneath the map pocket, if equipped.

Carefully slide the trim panel  UP in order to release the retainers from the door.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Hope this helps
