GMC Repair: 1999 Sananna van 5.7 vortex, fuel filter, fuel pump

Van will only start with a shot of stating fluid. Did a complete tune up minus fuel filter. Runs good when running. Used to run a week or more, then down to only when running need to shoot start fluid everytime now. What could this be?

REALLY sounds like fuel pump issue.
You should have the pressure checked (60-66 psi NO MORE NO LESS)
BTW.. I would use Carb/choke cleaner as opposed to starting fluid which is EXTREMLY Flammable and volatile.
