GMC Repair: 99 GMC, 4WD, 5.3 L, auto parts chains, autozone

Question
The truck has an intermittent problem with the security, batter and low fuel light flashing, the gear selector indicator light, bright light indicator and the temp and fuel gauges all quitting all at the same time. The security light stays on when the truck is not running.  The ABS light is always on when the truck is running.

I would recommend first taking it to a shop your familiar with that offers a free computer diagnostic scan. (Most auto parts chains offer the same[Autozone, Advance  etc.])
If any codes are stored, get the list and follow post back to me.
I do not see any common thread within these circuits at quick glance.
