GMC Repair: 95 suburban tdiesel no start HELP, oil pressure switch, glow lights

Question
95 suburban K1500 Turbo diesel 95k miles. Died the other day, towed it home, it started up and ran for about 2 minutes and died. Now wont start, glow lights up and goes off after 5 secs, how can I check the fuel pump or other known posibilities? Very knowledgable with gas engines, just new to this diesel thing. Changed the fuel filter, still no start. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi
while cranking under drivers side along frame (where a gasoline truch fuel filter is mounted) is the Lift pump.
While cranking it should be pulsing (makes a kinda popping noise).
If not check for power.
If not check the oil pressure switch (rear of engine where a small block distributor would be). Kinda common problem.
Should be 4-6 psi AT PUMP from lift pump.
Did you bleed filter after replacment?
Diesel WILL NOT bleed air out like a gas. needs to be bled and primed out if not done.
Check these items.
Then post back we'll go farther.
