GMC Repair: 03 Yukon XL AC Belt Slipping, serpentine belt tensioner, 2003 yukon xl

Question
I have a 2003 Yukon XL.  The serpentine belt which drives the AC compressor is slipping.  I have changed the belt and tensioning arm assembly only to hear the belt slip - belt slips only during acceleration with AC on.  The AC is putting out plenty of cool air.  What could be causing the belt to slip?

Answer
Hi
This condition may be caused by liquid slugging of the A/C compressor. This condition is caused by an internal failure in the A/C compressor. The serpentine belt tensioner and serpentine belt may also be damaged.
The compressor will need to be replaced.
I am sorry.
I Hope this helps.
Just advice from experience.
Good luck
