hi!!  i have this concern with a 2000 denali  when hot it stall  and runs like its out of gas. i have installed a gasgauge drove it arund still it acts up  found the gas psi at 60 and does not bleed down also checked the spark at the coil and had lots of it . still no start had to wait 10 mins . it starts up runs well  but not for long till it worms up . if it sits over nite it will run much longer and if its realy hot out side it will act up sooner.  so  when hot have gas pressure and spark  but will not start up and it turns over just fine .help

Answer
Hi
I do not have a clear cut answer for you.
I know an engine needs fuel, fire and compression to start.
I would check fire at the plugs, all 8.
If not, suspect the coil or the coil wire. Suspect the ignition module.
I would check injector pulse, you may have fuel pressure, but are the injectors pulsing fuel?
If not suspect the PCM, and or related wiring.
I would check compression on all 8 cylinders, making sure the highest and lowest are no more than 10% apart.
If not it'll be engine mechanical.
Without having the truck, thats about all I can suggest.
