GMC Repair: 93 Jimmy signal light problems, signal light problems, turn signal switch

1993 GMC Jimmy, 4 door, four wheel drive. 4.3 motor.

A month ago my original signal light flasher started flashing at an unusually
faster speed.  We changed the signal light flasher and it worked, at a slower
normal rate as well.  It then quit after a few days and when you moved the
signal light switch arm the lights will come on but will not flash.  The bulbs all
appeared to be working.  We changed the signal light flasher again, and it
worked for a few days as well and now the lights will come on but will not
flash.  Do you have any idea as to what this might be?

If all the bulbs are good, and you've replaced the flasher, the next thing I would suspect would be the Turn Signal switch, located on the steering column.
The column needs to be torn down to replace it,
Just advice from experience.
