GMC Repair: GMC C1500 Does not start, fuel pressure gauge, starter fluid

Question
I have a 1500 with a 5.7 EFI 1994,It will not start we have spark, and think the fuel pump might be out, tried spraying starter fluid in the intake, got it rumbling for a little bit until the starter fluid ran out, then it quit again, any advise would help.

Sounds like the fuel pump to me.
To check for sure, hook a fuel pressure gauge to the system (usually where the fuel filter is) and you should have 9-13 psi.
If not, make sure your getting power to the pump and have a good ground circuit.
If all that checks out, fuel pump faulty.
