GMC Repair: GMC VANDURA PROBLEM, gmc vandura, auto repair facilities

My GMC Vandura 1996 3500 1 ton, 5.7 liter V.8 with this problem, whereby, the service engine light comes on when l'm coming down a hill and apply the brakes.

There are NUMEROUS items that can cause the Service Engine Soon light to come on.
The computer stores the codes in it's memory. Most Nationwide auto repair facilities (Meineke, Pepboys, Firestone, Midas, etc...) preform Free Computer scans.
Also Most Auto Parts stores (Autozone, Advance, NAPA, etc...) also. I would suggest you bring your van to one of those facilities and have them scan it and retieve the codes(s). You can then either follow up here, or let them diagnose the code and repair your fault.
