QuestionReverse just went out on. Forward fine. 60.000 miles. idiot light on for check engine. No other service light on. Seems sluggish going forward.

Firs I am assuming you have an LCT1000 Allison Automatic Transmission, not a standard shift?
If so You'll REALLY need to take truck somewheres and get the DTC code for the transmission.
That PROBABALLY is why the Service Engine Soon Light is on.
With that code I'll be able to look for your possible problems.
Most major nationwide repair centers (Meineke, Pepboys, Midas, etc...)AND most Major nationwide Auto Parts chain stores (Auto Zone, Advanced, etc...) Offer free diagnostic Scans.
Have them scan the TCM (Transmission Control Module).
If they JUST scan the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) the code MAY BE a code P0700, which IS NOT a valid code to check, it is a generic code just stating there is/are codes stored in the TCM.
Sluggish MAY be could be a few things, air filter, fuel filter.
If possible, please take it somewheres and get the code that is turning on the Service Engine Soon light. I'll be MORE than happy to assist you in this diagnostics after we get the code.
